Francine Peters
“After a long and wonderful career as an artist in BC as Fred Peters, I am finally announcing that I am now Francine Peters. In 2012, I moved to Puerto Vallarta, Mexico and reinvented myself as the person I had long desired to be. After a several year hiatus from painting, I have rediscovered my personal joy creating my art. This country, my new full time home and my peace of mind surely inspires and influences my new work. I have grown so much. I am having so much fun! It is time to introduce myself …Francine and my paintings to the world. Gracias!!! Thank you!!!”

Francine Peters painted vivid, fun portrayals of westcoast life. Her acrylic paintings feature bold colours, strong sweeping loose brush strokes and often unique, exaggerated perspectives.
Francine Peters was a West Coast Canadian artist who paints acrylics that are alive with bold colour. Her landscapes and city scenes move with a sense of whimsy and style that has become recognized and sought after worldwide.
A self taught artist, Francine took up painting in 1996 as a diversion from her life working in road construction. This new creative outlet soon became a passion and changed her life dramatically.
“Painting rejuvenated me. Through my work, I have become more aware. Inspiration surrounds me.”
Francine’s style of painting captured the attention of many. Demand for her unique perspective of the ordinary gained her successful shows and gallery representation here on Vancouver Island and across Canada, New York City, San Francisco, Hawaii, Las Vegas, Palm Desert CA. Many of Francine’s paintings now hang in private and corporate collections around the world.
