Danuta Rogula
Inspired by the world around her, and never a camera far from hand, Danuta Rogula has always had an eye for beauty. Her vibrant personality and creative soul are evident in each of her paintings. “When I experience a scene in nature that has really touched me, the atmosphere, the beauty of light or just the tranquility, I want to share that with others through my painting.”
Danuta was born in Poland in 1958. She graduated with a Master’s Degree in Interior Design and Industrial Project in 1983 from the Academy of Fine Arts in Wroclaw. ” My mother, who was a practical person, sent me to the Technical High School of Architecture. She always kept saying, ‘Do not try to be an artist, if you don’t want to starve.’ ” With the birth of her two children, and the immigration to Canada in 1991, Danuta re-discovered painting. It allowed her to take care of her daughters, and immediately integrate into Canadian society. Her art is displayed in galleries in Canada and Europe.
“Residing in British Columbia gives me ample access to the most inspirational landscape settings. From the beaches and the rainforest of Vancouver Island, through meadows of the Fraser Valley to dramatic Rocky Mountains, these are majestic vistas that stimulate the soul and imagination
