Michael   O'Toole

Michael O'Toole studied Architectural Design and worked for several architectural firms before making the transition to full time artist.  His work enjoyed immediate recognition - admirers are struck by the artist's sophisticated appreciation of light, texture and colour.  The discipline of the architect is apparent in the way that he composes his work.  O'Toole knows exactly what he wants before even putting the brush to canvas.

For Michael, painting has become an all consuming passion.The artist is comfortable with a variety of media including acrylic and watercolour.  He works in a strong, colourful style that brings vitality to his work.

Michael O'Toole believes that his painting style is a balance of emotion and tehcnical skill.  "I'll always paint where my heart takes me, be it European architecture, landscapes or marine settings".

In addition to showing extensively through Denise Bezanson of Bezanson Art Consulting Inc. and galleries, O'Toole has lecturered and published extensively.  His work can be found in many private and corporate collections across North America.
